Natural Language Processing Scientist

In this Natural Language Processing Scientist role, you will: 

  • Develop data-driven NLP approaches to understand user profiles and intentions
  • Design and implement state-of-the-art machine learning NLP algorithms in distributed machine learning frameworks such as Spark
  • Work on exciting problems for recommendations to improve the user experience
  • Work on efficient and effective schemes to defend against bots and spams
  • Work on efficient and effective schemes to identify abusive user behaviors
  • Analyze data to generate, report, and clearly communicate insights to improve the effectiveness of our product

We’re looking for:

  • PhD (in machine learning, NLP, statistics, or in another highly quantitative/analytical field) or MS with 2 years professional experience
  • Knowledge in statistical inference, lexical acquisition, probabilistic context-free grammars, probabilistic parsing, statistical alignment, machine translation, information extraction etc.
  • Comfortable running query to pull data and run quick analysis
  • Hands-on experience in applied Machine Learning (ML) projects, NLP projects or other predictive modeling and analysis projects
  • Experienced skills in entity recognition and intent extraction
  • 1+ years of hands-on experience on deep neural network frameworks
    such as Tensorflow, Mxnet, and Keras
  • 2+ years of experience with NLP applications, including techniques like Word2Vec, LDA, sentiment analysis
  • 5+ years of proficiency in at least one of the following: Python, Scala, Java, or R/Matlab

Bonus points if you have:

  • In-depth knowledge of deep neural networks, LSTM neural networks, clustering, collaborative filtering, and classification techniques
  • Experience in speech recognition
  • Experience in dialog systems
  • Experience in information retrieval
  • Experience in Chatbots design
  • Experience in designing and building highly scalable distributed NLP ML models

Privacy Counsel

In this role you will:

  • Participate in the ongoing design and development of Match Group’s privacy strategy to meet changing global privacy requirements
  • Work hand in hand with internal stakeholders to implement and deploy updates to Match Group’s privacy strategy and act as their first point of contact for all US operations
  • Communicate and ensure understanding of, and compliance with, applicable privacy laws and regulations as new products and features are developed
  • Develop, maintain and communicate privacy policies and procedures
  • Draft and negotiate privacy terms as well as provide guidance to the legal team and to business partners
  • Assist with ongoing review and update of internal trainings on legal and regulatory requirements relating to privacy, as well as best practices

We’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree and a J.D. from an accredited, top-tier law school. Top academic credentials
  • 4+ years of privacy experience at a top-tier law firm.  Previous in-house role desirable but not required (experience in a technology company environment is preferred)
  • CIPP/E and/or CIPP/US desirable but not required
  • Knowledge of EU GDPR framework desirable but not required

Senior Technical Recruiter

In this role you will:

  • Partner closely with senior leadership to identify, build and execute effective recruiting strategies to engage the best and the brightest engineering talent
  • Responsible for full life cycle, recruiting support for all engineering teams within Tinder
  • Build and maintain a network of technical talent through ongoing relationship management
  • Establish and maintain relationships with hiring managers, and proactively report on pipeline activity to facilitate effective recruiting and hiring discussions
  • Measure performance metrics to drive continuous improvement in technical sourcing and recruiting strategies and partner with peers in the execution of these strategies
  • Manage an outstanding and efficient candidate process and experience
  • Serve as an internally and externally-facing representative of Tinder and our recruiting team

We’re looking for:

  • 5+ years of experience recruiting for a variety of positions with an emphasis on software and mobile engineering across multiple regions
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and closing technical talent in a high-growth environment within the technology industry
  • Strong knowledge of a web-based ATS, preferably Greenhouse
  • Must be a great networker and have a track record organizing and attending meetups, conferences and events as a way to attract candidates
  • Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of building engineering organizations
  • Experience with progressive sourcing techniques including direct sourcing and internet data mining and recruiting techniques such search engines, Boolean search strings, LinkedIn and other online networking communities

Computer Vision Scientist

In this Computer Vision Engineer role you will: 

  • Use the latest advances in neural networks and computer vision to bring new experiences for our customers
  • Develop and deploy cloud software frameworks for computer vision processing
  • Integrate computer vision processing with other services on Tinder

We’re looking for:

  • Undergraduate degree in computer science, software engineering or numerical discipline (e.g. physics, math, engineering)
  • Either a PhD (in computer vision (CV), machine learning, or related technical fields) or a MS + 2 years professional experience
  • Experience working on applied CV projects. Examples include (but are not limited to) optical character recognition (OCR), object detection and recognition, image classification, and visual question answering (VQA) etc.
  • Understanding of state-of-the-art deep learning techniques
  • Solid understanding of CNN, RNN, supervised and unsupervised learning, optimization techniques
  • Proficiency in at least one of Python, Scala, and/or R/Matlab
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills 

Bonus points if you have:

  • Expertise in deep neural network and its applications to real world problems
  • Experience with one or more deep learning frameworks such as Caffe, Theano, Torch, TensorFlow, DL4J
  • Experience using GPU programming such as CUDA or OpenCL is a plus
