Technology - Assignment Example

Technology is increasingly becoming part of our everyday life. We can think back to a time when we did not even know what a computer was and all we had was the telephone, radio, and television. Now, we cannot go a day without using my computer and the internet to do something that we need to get done. When did it all change? Everything is happening so fast. We remember going to school and all that we were allowed to use was paper and pencil and we are only twenty and twenty-two years old.

When we think about how quickly things have changed, we can only image what it’s going to be like for the next generation. Everyday there is something new coming out into the technology market whether it be, an upgrade to a software package or a new model for a computer. Tools such as the Internet, Excel, Word, and Access allow students to easier research and prepare papers. Computers are very helpful to teachers. Many teachers can take advantage of the computers in their classroom or at home by entering grades and allowing the computer to compute them.

Entering the grades can be very simple and fast. Allowing the computer to compute the grades saves time from manually computing them. The teacher can also set up attendance on the computer. But on the other side if computer is misused, it can result in demerits. Children especially who aren’t using the computers in the right manner are at the most risk. In the following discussion, we will discuss how computer is harmful and affecting our children lives. Nowadays internet, web browsing, chatting, and surveys are very famous in adolescents.

The teenagers are getting information and knowledge is on finger tips of young children, but the excessive use of computers is also harmful and dangerous for young children. It is an admitted fact that those children who spend more time on computer are feeling lonely because they have no time to spend with their parents. This increases their daily stress because if they are not talking with their parents it means they are not sharing their problem, that’s why they are facing trouble.

Young children daily play computer games more or less 20 minutes but in these 20 minutes they sit in front of the computer screen which is harmful for children eyes. It is a natural process that a children eye blinks about 4,000 times in 20 minutes but when they are playing computer they blink their eyes only 20 times in 20 minutes. This causes redness in eyes and the harmful rays of the CRT monitor causes the weakening of retina which can further lead to short-sightedness and far-sightedness. Nanotechnology

In an earth that is full of cell phones, laptops, PC’s, palm pilots, flat screen televisions, I-pods, and many other gizmos and gadgets, it is hard to imagine our universe becoming even more high-tech. Many people could not make it through a week, or even a couple of days without a cell phone, car, or television. To make our world even more complicated, the continuous emergence of nanotechnology is creeping upon us, and it will affect our lives whether we want it to or not. Nanotechnology could help us in different fields of medicine, yet it could also be a threat to the human identity.

Whatever the case may be, new technology could end up showing us that our human meaning is much more vulnerable than we thought! The technology that surrounds almost everyone in the modern society, affects both work and recreational activities. Technology is one of the principal driving forces of the future; it is transforming our lives and shaping our future at incomparable rates in history. Technology is constantly changing, and advancing. Many different elements affect how satisfied we are with our lives. The impact of technology on these elements can change how safe, healthy and happy people feel.

Throughout history, people have looked for better ways to meet their needs and to satisfy their expectations. Technology has improved the way people feed, clothe and shelter themselves. Technology has also changed other aspects of everyday life, such as health care, education, job satisfaction, and leisure time activities. Conclusion Researchers are investigating behind nanotechnology and this could happen at any time. The world is creating an opportunity for people and things are getting smaller and smaller as they go along.

All objects will change within ten years time. Many nanotechnology experts feel that these applications are well outside the realm of possibility, at least for the foreseeable future. They caution that the more exotic applications are only theoretical. Some worry that nanotechnology will end up like virtual reality — in other words, the hype surrounding nanotechnology will continue to build until the limitations of the field become public knowledge, and then interest (and funding) will quickly dissipate.
