The belief in the sanctity of human life goes to explain Christians’ belief that life is holy and should be kept sacred. Being created in the image of God tells Christians to hold and respect life seeing as it is one of God’s gift to mankind is life and since gifts are not destroyed or prevented e.g. contraception.

God, Christian’s belief has relationship with each and every one of Christians. Jesus Christ was born so God could have a personal relationship through him to us. ”…, and he will be called Immanuel which means God is with us…”(Mathew 1:23) is the name God gave Mary to name Jesus whilst she was pregnant.

As we are born sinners baptism is believed to be the cleansing of the human soul spiritually and is initiated into a child of God. These are examples of what Christians do to follow in the footsteps of Jesus. In Mark 16:6 the scripture says whoever believes and is baptized will be saved. They see this as away to gain eternity with Christ.

In the bible God speaks of the body as his temple and goes to say he lives in us and that his temple should be kept holy. He expects us to live life that will please him not follow worldly things. He wants us to lead life that will please him. (Corinthians 3:16-17)

Jesus serves as a role model to all people that God does not see man different from his brother. Christ had the same attitude to everyone be it young, old, rich or poor, he saw no one as inferior. We can tell from the story of the Roman Centurion’s servant (Luke 7:1-10), Zaccheus the tax collector (Luke 19:1-10) and more others Jesus made his disciples see he had come for all.

The two most important commandments is about love, to love the lord our God with all our soul, mind and strength and love your neighbor as yourself meaning loving ourselves makes the union between him and us strong(1 John 3:11, 4:11). Just as the story of the Good Samaritan love should not be about loving only those we know but all (Luke 7:1-10). God showed his love by giving us his son Jesus Christ on the cross to give us salvation (john 3:16)

In the same way god expects us to respect our body and keep it holy God wants us to respect our brothers and sisters, elderly, parents and the laws of a country. God has a promises eternity to children who are obedient. (Exodus 20:12)

Although this is a controversial question on the time life begins exactly, people say at the beginning of life, the Roman Catholics especially belief life begins the moment of conception. This chapter goes to explain the belief Christians have in helping a brother or sister at the end of their life.

It is their belief that God is the giver and taker of life, therefore no one else has the right to take life under any circumstances. Man should not have any reason to want to end life prematurely.

Christians see taking one’s life into their own hands as a crime. The scripture says everyone will die eventually because we are mortals it is not up to us to decide for ourselves.

Jesus Christ did not have life easy when he was on earth. He was condemned, looked upon and later crucified. When Christians are prejudiced for the love of Christ, they see it as partaking in Christ’s suffering and should endure it gracefully. The story of job in the bible(Job 1:21) tells us Christ brings trials our way to test our love for him. In other words people should not take their lives e.g. suicide to escape suffering.

Christians live by Jesus’ examples by showing love and compassion towards others when ill, in need, or mourning a dear one. They show they care by lending a helping hand and pray with them through their tough period. In the bible god showed he cared for his friend Lazarus. He rushed to his friend’s side when he heard he was ill and later died. Jesus comforted his sisters, wept with them and brought Lazarus back to life.

Christians also unit to help raise funds for the needy of hold healing or deliverance services for the sick. They anoint and pray for them to help ease their pain as Jesus says in James 5:14 ‘…Are any of you ill? You should send for the church elders, who will pray for them and rub olive oil on them in the name of the Lord.’

Christians belief in allowing the sick to have a chance to ask God to forgive their sins, receive the Holy Spirit and Holy Communion. As written in the bible Christ says by his stripes we are healed. It reminds Christians of Christ being there for all of mankind.

Lastly a person has more to life than others see, for instance if someone kills his brother he takes away from him all he or she had going, his happiness, properties and more.
